This scene reminds me to keep my eyes and mind open. The divers in our group had dropped in for, and were swimming straight toward, a well known manta cleaning site in Palau. This cluster of coral and sea fans caught my eye, just as the dive guide, followed by most of the group, swam right by in search of mantas. After they saw my strobes flash a couple of times, several photographers started cueing up behind me. – à Fish N Fins, Palau.
It was unusual to find an Orangutan Crab perched on the precipice of this beautiful hammer coral (Euphyllia ancora), in the Philippines, 2012.
This Mandarinfish, captured in Lembeh Strait, Indonesia, 2015, draws me in, with its dreamy, faraway look. – à Critters at Lembeh Resort.
